Scorpio Horoscope for July 2010

It's July - Cancer's time of the month - and finally things seem to be clicking into place. You've come through a high work, high-pressure period earlier this year, but July just seems made for travel and time to unwind. The coming eclipse, July 11, will be sweetness and light, and allow you to travel as far as you'd like for a refreshing change of scene.

This eclipse will have none of the drama that the June 26 eclipse might have brought you, for that eclipse last month was a full moon, and the one due this month will be a new moon. New moons - especially ones that are friendly like this one - bring lots of opportunity, so you'll welcome the developments that come up now.

There's good reason to stop for a rest now. The coming months will be chock full of action, with some exceptional moments coming in September through January, the time when Jupiter and Uranus will be back to Pisces (a really wonderful placement for you). Rest up now, while you can!

Not only will you be able to travel in July, but you might also get a chance to work with foreign people, a recurring theme that I have seen emerge for you in recent months. If you can do any sort of international work or commercial trade exchange, by all means do so. You might write, translate, or improve international relations. Investigate what's on tap because it could be quite lucrative for you.

Media companies in broadcasting and publishing could become centers of gain, too, whether you work as a producer, talent executive, or writer (as a few examples), or you could be invited to be the subject of an interview. This is a very expansive influence, and one you'll love because it will help you see a bigger, more panoramic view of life while you learn from others.

If you were recently (or are currently) in college, would like to study overseas, or would like to do a research project abroad, possibly with the help of a grant, send in your application with great haste, just after the eclipse arrives July 11.

Eclipses make time move at warp speed, so you may be stunned how quickly all your plans get approved. With your chart, you should be absolutely sure you have a valid passport ready for a spontaneous trip.

Are you hoping to become a citizen in another country? Do you hope to get a green card or other visa? You can now, so keep your antenna up and get ready to roll.

If you are trying to adopt a baby in a foreign country, obstacles will soon drop away, so don't give up - await that long-anticipated phone call that your baby is coming!

Mars will be in Virgo until July 28, giving this month an extra touch of fun. You've become used to having Saturn in your friendship / fun / events house, which is a little like having a cranky old person putting the kibosh on any plans you had to kick back and enjoy yourself.

This has been going on for so long, you probably began to assume that grown-up life is unrelentingly serious and that you'd be unrealistic ever to imagine that life will go back to more carefree days. Saturn is not a spontaneous kind of guy, and besides, he wants you to work, not play. All in all, it's easy to see why you may have had to give up having a relaxed lifestyle. Guess what - that period is nearly over!

Friends will have more time for you and you for them, and if you have moved to a new city and have not been able to make new friends, you will now. If you have had to help a friend in crisis, his or her situation will now improve, and both of you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

If you have had to delay gratification on a dearly held goal for any number of reasons, you can go back to that dream now - soon you will finally feel back on track to grasping it. The eleventh house is the house of hopes and wishes, both spiritual ("I want to find someone special to date") and material ("I want to buy a house"). Dream big, dear Scorpio! The lid on those dreams is coming off, for good!

Saturn, the taskmaster planet, is leaving your eleventh house of friendship, hopes, and wishes, on July 21 - for good. He's not due back until October 2036.

Not only will Saturn's exit from your eleventh house help you see friends more, Saturn's exit will help your love life, too. I say this because planets in one house always ping energy to the opposite house on the wheel. In your case, Saturn was staring at your fifth house of true love for nearly three years - now, when he moves on, your romantic life should improve significantly, and when it does you may feel it's almost a miracle.

So while Mars, your ruler, will try to rev up your social life by providing events and new friends to your circle, his efforts until July 29 won't fully pay off until Saturn finally leaves Virgo on July 21. Don't worry - you won't be cheated out of a carefree time. Saturn's exit is the main event. Besides, when Mars enters Scorpio on September 14, and stays through October 28, you will come into your own. Circle that as your golden period! All of this is why I say I want you to travel to get a change of scene this month while you can.

You should also factor in that Mercury will be retrograde from August 20 to September 12, a time when not much you do will stick. You will want to coast during that phase and not announce any major decisions or buy or sell anything pricey at that time.

It seems the eclipses of June 26 and July 11 may have brought a court case to settlement or that someone presented papers that are now ready for you to sign. Ancient wisdom says not to sign anything on an eclipse - wait a week if you can, or do so early in the month. A lot of mixed messages come up at eclipse time, and because there is a lot of energy swirling about you, it's hard to think straight. Later you may regret not asking certain questions or changing certain clauses. Eclipses make us rush, but that is not what you want to do when it comes to legal matters. Fortunately, these eclipses are working in your favor.

If your birthday falls on October 28, or within five days of this date, you will eventually feel the June 26 eclipse more.

If your birthday falls within five days of November 11, then the coming July 11 eclipse will be your friend.

If you say that nothing happened near the June 26 eclipse, I need to remind you that eclipses don't always assert their messages when they appear. They are different from normal new moons and full moons. For the June 26 eclipse, you need to watch for possible news at the end of July, near July 26, one month later. (You may want to read last month's forecast for the discussion on that eclipse.)

You also need to watch August 6, September 8, and December 14. Those are all "click points" for the June 26 eclipse.

The next points to watch for the July 11 eclipse will be August 29, January 1, and 4.

Your career life has been quite intense, especially last month. Although you may have assumed that all the work you've put in is not being noticed or appreciated, it HAS been! Bosses are under their own pressures, and that is why you haven't had much praise (only pressure). If you are not in a job right now, then what I am seeing in your chart is that your reputation in your industry is superb. Pat yourself on the back for all your hard work. Scorpio is just as exacting as Virgo, with the added benefit of having a shrewd business sense. This will all come into play next month.

Watch for the new moon August 9 plus two weeks. That will be a key moment in the year for you to get a promotion or start to interview for an important new job - be ready with a polished bio and resume!

This month, think back to a project, assignment, or job you took in December 2007. Whatever you did then, you will now need to decide what is needed to make that project more successful. You may now tweak it, or, if you have lost interest in it, abandon it. In December 2007, Jupiter conjoined Pluto (in other words, they came together). On July 24 they will be at hard angles to each other, which is only a point in their time-cycle, but which indicates it's time to rethink or advance that endeavor. See how you feel.

If you are looking for new business because you are self-employed, you can more easily find it in the coming weeks than ever before, thanks to Jupiter in your sixth house of work-a-day projects. If you work for others, you will like the assignments you get. It seems you are the favorite of your boss these days and are getting all those plum assignments. Good! You deserve them!

In the meantime, your home and / or family may be your main focus at the friendly full moon, July 25. This full moon is full of goodies for you, for it will send a beam to Uranus (surprises), Mars (action), and Jupiter (luck). We have not had any dazzling full moons this year, so I am very excited about this one. Finally, some really good news is due to come that has to do with your home, a housing situation, other property, or with someone connected to your home, such as a contractor, decorator, roommate, or one of your parents. You can buy, sell, renovate, clean, reorganize, repair - you decide!

You seem to be interested in making your living quarters more reflective of the real "you" and have been having fun working on your home. Here's your chance to take a quantum leap forward, dear Scorpio. If money is tight, you might want to tackle a few closets over this weekend (July 24-25). No matter what you choose to do, you'll be amazed at how well things turn out, and how clearly they affect you in a positive way. So paint the living room, or buy a new chair at a flea market or auction site. Enjoy yourself dear Scorpio!

Summary

You might find yourself amid quite a bit of change, mainly because the eclipses are back. The first one, a lunar eclipse, appeared on June 26, and the second, a new moon solar eclipse, is due this month on July 11. All eclipses require sudden and unexpected adjustments, but ones in Capricorn-Cancer - the place the current family of eclipses are falling - are friendly to Scorpio. This means that you can make things work in your favor, even if initially you aren't so sure you like the results of the eclipse. Certainly truth comes out at eclipse time!

Travel appears to be very likely now and in the months ahead, too. Thanks to these eclipses, those getaways will be more frequently taken for fun and rest than for work. Watch the time near July 11 and 26 for exceptional travel. Alternatively, you may now begin to work with companies abroad, and find it quite broadening and enjoyable. University study, original research (funded by grants), and international trade are also possible.

You'll need a little fun to balance all that is going on, and Mars, your ruler, will be on a mission to help you do just that. Mars will light your friendship sector until July 29, a sure sign you'll have more time to socialize than you have had at any other time so far this year. You'll have an unusually lively time, but you will, of course, have to be willing to leave your cozy couch to find that happiness in the world.

You will need to address a home, property, or family matter at the full moon, July 25, plus four days (or minus two). You may have to sign a new lease, or you may buy, sell, or close on a house. That weekend, you may order a new armoire for your bedroom, or stay home to accept delivery on your new living room couch. It's also a great time to do home repairs, to paint, clean out closets, or do other things to make you feel your home reflects the real you. Keep in mind that Mercury will go retrograde August 20, so you really should make your big home-related decisions this month rather than put them off until August.

Travel is a big, emerging theme, so pack your bags. You will more likely go for fun than for work.

You may have traveled in June, but more trips seem possible in July and will continue to be more plentiful through the rest of the year, thanks to the eclipses.

Travel on July 11 and 26 should be four-star, and possibly taken spontaneously.

Don't sign a contract near July 11, as you won't have full information. Leave a week's time before you sign to study the deal.

Address home and property matters - that rental of a summer cottage share - now at the full moon July 25, rather than later. Mercury will go retrograde next month on August 20, but you will feel things go haywire sooner.

Your career should bring gratifying news next month after the August 9 new moon. Start to get ready this month - get your resume updated now. For now, you may get good news about money July 12.

Romantically, friends help you find love this month more than ever. You may be just friends with someone that leads to love, or you may be introduced to your new love by a friend. The caveat, of course, is you have to go out and circulate.

Saturn's departure from your fun / friends / events house on July 21 is cause for celebration, for your love life will see the results.
