The 30th annual Leamington Tomato Festival is set to run from Aug. 15 to 18, featuring a few changes and surprises for fair goers.
"This has been an exciting undertaking and we hope everyone will be pleasantly surprised," said Mike Ciacelli, who co-chairs the festival, which will be held at Seacliff Park. The parade will be held Saturday, staged from Leamington high school.
The entertainment area has been modified to feature two stages this year and two headline acts have been signed, Jully Black, known for her 2008 Grammy-nominated single Seven Day Fool, and Rik Emmett, formerly of the group Triumph, will perform Friday and Saturday, respectively, on the main stage. Local artists will also perform.
The festival will also feature a classic car show, a volleyball tournament and the Firefighters' Water Barrel Fights. The festival opens at the Kinsman Recreation Complex with the Miss Leamington Tomato Festival Pageant.
